A young seagull had just left her nest on the mountain by the sea.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before she took her first independent flight, her mother gave her a suggestion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNever look for fish away from this mountain,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the young one had other ideas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a world out there to explore. I will not stop at this mountain<\/i>,\u201d the young one thought.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the mother watched, the seagull readied for a flight towards the sea. She didn\u2019t roam far. She caught the fish nearest to the mountain.<\/p>\n

The next day, the seagull waited for her mother to get busy.<\/p>\n

As she did, the seagull took a long flight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Soon, the seagull was away from the mountain, away from the sight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She looked down at something lying still on the surface of the sea.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Only a part of it was visible. It was a fish. A big one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWow, that must be a big fish,\u201d the seagull said to herself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf my mother or anyone else travels away from the mountain, they would know what they have been missing out on. I must catch this one and show them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The gull took aim and dove.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She opened her beak and the claws for the catch.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the last minute, however, the fish opened its mouth wide. The seagull fell straight into it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The bird was trapped.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She tried her best to escape, but in vain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The fish dragged the bird to the depth of the sea.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before everything went dark, the bird realised why she had been asked not to go too far.<\/p>\n

It was too late.<\/p>\n
